Help with a see-through shader

Hello guys; I'm trying to make a see-through shader similar to this (http://wiki.unity3d.com/images/0/04/SilhouetteOutline2.jpg) . The thing is I want it to only trigger with certain things only (the level itself, not other players). I'm not too well versed in Shader programming, so I'm not really sure if it's even possible. Any help is welcome, thank you.
